Peter Caine (Manly)

Underline

Peter brings with him a wealth of experience to MGS, with 17 years of working as a Physiotherapist in many high profile roles across our Olympic and sporting community. Pete is an accredited provider for the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia and also the NSW Institute of Sport.

One of his roles was to co-ordinate and mentor the numerous Sports Physiotherapists aiming to work with the elite Winter Olympic Sporting teams. As previous Chair of the NSW Chapter of Sports Physiotherapy Australia, Pete has and still does regularly present at speaking appointments with community and Special Interest Groups within our Association.

You won’t find Pete mentioning many of these, as he humbly downplays his roles in Sports Medicine coverage for events like, The Biggest Loser, several Winter Olympics, Sydney Kings Basketball, La Francais des Jeux & Unibet .com Professional Cycling Team, UCI World Track Cycling and various ParaOlympic events just to name a few.

His roles have taken him from the ski resorts of North America to the mountains of Nepal. Peter lives locally with a very supportive family and two young boys that love all things adventurous so he spends alot of his spare time trying to keep up with them. He is looking forward to settling in to MGS Manly, to look after his patients, work closer to home and to give him more time with the family and to sink his teeth into his next challenge. That challenge he has commenced being to undertake the specialisation program to gain the prestigious Fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapists as a Specialist Sports Physiotherapist.

Pete is passionate about the diagnosis and management of acute musculoskeletal injuries. He loves the challenge of working out whats going on and finding the quickest path back to full function. After all, who wants to live life on the sidelines?

Pete has slotted in perfectly amongst the rest of our MGS team. He shares our passion for fitness, fun and professionalism. He joins our other desperate MAMILs (Middle Aged Man in Lycra) already been seen wondering around the clinic in full lycra, just having been out feeding his road cycling addiction.
